Line Scan Contact Image Sensor - AxCIS
AxCIS™ is a fully integrated line scan imaging module which combines sensors, lenses, and lights all-in-one. This Contact Image Sensor (CIS) is easy-to-use and offers a lower system cost for many demanding machine vision applications as well as superior signal-to-noise ratio and a Camera Link HS SFP+ fiberoptic interface. AxCIS can fit anywhere in your system, even with limited vertical clearance and it’s easy to install, with no complex alignment or calibration required and a single 24v power supply.
High-Speed and High-Resolution Line Scan in a Fully Integrated, Compact Package
AxCIS™ is a fully integrated line scan imaging module which combines sensors, lenses, and lights all-in-one. This Contact Image Sensor (CIS) is easy-to-use and offers a lower system cost for many demanding machine vision applications as well as superior signal-to-noise ratio and a Camera Link HS SFP+ fiberoptic interface. AxCIS can fit anywhere in your system, even with limited vertical clearance and it’s easy to install, with no complex alignment or calibration required and a single 24v power supply. Monochrome and color models are available now.
Latest Generation CMOS Technology
AxCIS is based on Teledyne’s new quadlinear CMOS image sensors, which deliver up to 120 kHz line rates for mono, 60 kHz x 3 for color, and 900 dpi resolution, so that defects can be detected with precision at high speeds. The sensors are pre-calibrated to pixel size and available in color and monochrome.
HDR Imaging
HDR imaging can be achieved using dual exposure mode. One row of the sensor array can have longer exposure for dark scenes and the other has short exposure for bright scenes. This enables better detectability for highly reflective materials with improved dynamic range.
Large Field of View with No Missing Pixels
AxCIS uses a unique staggered design that covers the whole field of view without missing pixels. Every pixel has native data of true mono or color images and automatic tap balancing provides a 100% seamless image without any interpolation. AxCIS is available in widths of 400 mm, 800 mm, 1500 mm plus any other widths in increments of 100 mm.
Next Generation Interface
With a Camera Link HS SFP+ fiberoptic interface, AxCIS delivers high resolution images over standard low-cost long cables lengths (up to 300 m). Fiberoptic cables provide reliable data transmission which are immune to electromagnetic radiation in harsh industrial environments.
Teledyne Frame Grabber Integration
A single Teledyne Xtium2-CLHS FX8 frame grabber supports up to 4 x 400 mm modules with up to 1.6 m field of view.
